Chapter 1: Inception and Early Success (1967 – 1971)
In 1967, the Paradise Valley East Little League was established. Located to the east of 32nd Street, they obtained their first charter, marking the birth of a new chapter in the community's history. By 1971, Paradise Valley East Little League reached a significant milestone when they clinched the title of District Champions.
Chapter 2: Expansion and Triumph (1972 – 2007)
In 1972, a sister league known as Paradise Valley West Little League was established to serve the youth to the west of 32nd Street. This expansion further solidified the community's commitment to fostering young talent and nurturing a love for baseball.
As the years rolled by, both leagues experienced their own share of victories, creating a legacy of success within their respective districts. Paradise Valley East Little League claimed the District Champions title in 1983, 1988, 1994, and 1997. In 1994 and 1997, they also emerged victorious in the Tournament of Champions. Paradise Valley East Little League clinched the District Champions title in the Junior Division Baseball competition in 2005 and 2006. Their success extended beyond the confines of the district, solidifying their reputation as a formidable force in the region.
Chapter 3: Unification and New Horizons (2007 – 2011)
In 2007, recognizing the potential for collaboration and growth, Paradise Valley East and Paradise Valley West Little Leagues merged to form Shadow Mountain Little League, thus unifying the once-separate leagues into a single, formidable force. This merger not only brought together the best of both leagues but also opened up new opportunities for success. Shadow Mountain Little League won the District Champions title in the Junior Division Baseball competition in 2009, and Shadow Mountain Little League achieved their first District Champions title in 2011.
Chapter 4: A Legacy Carried Forward (2012 – present)
As the years passed, Shadow Mountain Little League continued to shape the lives of countless young athletes. Generations of players, coaches, and volunteers poured their hearts into the league, leaving an everlasting impact on the lives of those who called our league their baseball home. To this day, the league continues to instill the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship in our young players. With each passing season, new friendships are forged, and the spirit of baseball continues to flourish within the Shadow Mountain community.
